KINTSUGI Style Repair, Re-love and Celebrate

A cup commemoratively restored for a community in St Budeaux

A cup commemoratively restored for a community in St Budeaux

This workshop celebrates the broken or cracked everyday objects that we have. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to bring them back to life using a technique inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

Kintsugi, has similarities to the philosophy of wabi-sabi which embraces the ‘flawed’ or the ‘imperfect. In Kintsugi we recognise that an object can have beauty and purpose even after it has been damaged

Please bring with you a piece of ceramics that you would like to fix. There will be an array of ceramics that you can practice on. Gold and fixing materials are supplied.

No previous knowledge needed

£30 per person

To book please phone Tweeny on 07595346520
