During this one day workshop you will be taught how manipulate clay to create blush, breast, bobbin or a gift of robins. These sculptures will form a couple of 2 robins designed and made by you.

Using a specialist sculptural clay you will be shown how to prepare clay, shape it, and be helped to construct your robins for either the indoors or outdoors. As we go through this process you will also be shown various ways to design and develop your sculptural Robins using both coil and pinching methods.

Throughout the class you will be given bespoke tutoring giving you ample opportunity to discuss any part of the process. As we navigate our way through the day you will also have the opportunity to experiment and explore surface decoration and colour. This will include, the application of texture, ways to paint using underglazes and how to decorate using sgraffito techniques.
