During this one day workshop you will be taught how manipulate clay to make a Green Man wall sculpture

Using a specialist sculptural clay you will be shown how to prepare clay, shape it, and be helped to construct an original Green Man wall sculpture to suit your garden. As we go through the process you will also be shown various methods of making to allow you to add and adjust your designs to meet your garden needs. Our specialist tutors will be on hand throughout to help you.

As we navigate our way through the day you will also have the opportunity to experiment and explore surface decoration. This will include, the application of texture, ways of adding colour, using underglazes, slips and forms of sgraffito as well as playing with different clays if a more rustic approach is desired. All of these techniques will help develop character in your Green Man

This workshop is expected to last between 4 to 5 hours. We will stop at 12.15pm for a short break. Light refreshments of tea/coffee, fruit and cake are included. Alternatively bring a packed lunch or sandwiches can be bought from the cafe next door.
