During this one day workshop you will be taught how manipulate clay to make an original Penguin sculpture

Using a specialist sculptural clay you will be shown how to prepare clay, shape it, and be helped to construct a penguin sculpture for your garden. As we go through this process you will also be shown various ways to design and develop ideas using both coil and sculptural methods.

Throughout the class you will be given bespoke tutoring giving you ample opportunity to discuss any part of the process. As we navigate our way through the day you will also have the opportunity to experiment and explore surface decoration. This will include, the application of texture, ways to paint using underglazes and how to decorate using sgraffito techniques.
