Join us for this one day workshop you will be taught how manipulate clay to create a large Yule Bear

Using a specialist sculptural clay you will be shown how to prepare clay, shape it, and be helped to construct an original sculpture. As we go through the process you will also be shown various methods of making to allow you to add and adjust your designs to meet your needs. Our specialist tutors will be on hand throughout to help you.

As we navigate our way through the day you will also have the opportunity to experiment and explore surface decoration. This will include, the application of texture, ways of adding colour, using underglazes, slips and forms of sgraffito. All of these techniques will help develop character and insure your design is original.

This workshop is expected to be about 5 to 6 hours. Light refreshments of tea/coffee, fruit and cake are included. We would advise you to bring a packed lunch.
