During these 3 sessions you will be given a full introduction on how potters throw and turn on the wheel.

Thursday 15th October - Through demonstrations you will be taught the art of centering, opening and the forming of shapes. We will explore cylenders, the bedrock of throwing. Towards the end of this session you will start to explore shape.

Thursday 22nd October - You will continue to work on shape producing a famaly of bowls ready to turn on your last week

Thursday 29th October - You will be taught the art of Turning. This is when the vessels you thave thrown are ‘turned’ to ensure they are finished off to a professional standard.

You will have your own dedicated wheel and will have bespoke tuition throughout the 3 sessions.

At the end of the course you can choose up to either 4 medium size bowls or 2 larger pasta type bowls to be fired and glazed by The Pottery. At a minimul extra cost you may throw/keep extra bowls.

Your work will be ready to collect from The Pottery about 3 weeks later, or can be posted at an extra cost.
