This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience.

Escape the everyday and join us in a colourful exploration into the world of Yayoi Kusama.

Your day will start with the very talented Jayne Ashenbury as we celebrate the late iconic, Yayoi Kusama. Famous for her world of colour and known as the princess of ‘Polka Dots’. Yayoi Kusama’s career spanned over 7 decades bridging the gap between Pop Art, Minimalism, and Surrealism. Jayne will take you through a journey of exploration looking at shape and bold colour, allowing you to unleash your hidden creativity in preparation of the afternoon.

A lunch of home made soup and bread is included. The wonderful Jayne will be making a cake to help sustain us through our creativity.

After lunch the team at The Pottery will take you through methods of making to create a tall jug which will be the starting point for your morning designs. As you navigate our way through the afternoon you will have access to professional potters so you can have as much or as little help as you want.

At the end of the session The Pottery will fire all work with a transparent glaze.

Date 12th December
